We opted to do things differently. We find that whilst it makes perfect sense to us, some of our clients grapple with the concept of our mobility. So we thought it was worth writing a short explanation:
We do not have a shop… in fact we are not based right on the beachfront. Instead, we have a head office in Camps Bay and take bookings for all our services including rentals in advance via email/booking site/telephone.
There are TWO main reasons we decided on being a MOBILE surf school:
1. Two coastlines to surf:
Cape Town is located on a Peninsula which means we are the lucky ones to have options when it comes to surfing in Cape Town. With our headquarters being based in Camps Bay, we have easy access to the beaches of the Western side of the Peninsula (also known as the Atlantic side) along with the beaches of the Eastern side (better known as False Bay). Rather than having a fixed location at one beach, by being mobile, we can easily adapt to the current surf conditions. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced surfer, when you surf with us, you know you’ll be getting to the beach with the best conditions suited to your surfing level. Now that’s something to be totally stoked about.
2. Surfing beaches are a fair distance from Central Cape Town:
If you find yourself in Cape Town, without a car, getting to the best surfing beaches is a logistical issue. Some of the best surf spots are up to a 45-minute drive from the city center. We have solved this problem by offering you the option* to ride with us to the beach in our surf van. What better than a hassle-free service where pick up and drop off are included with your surf experience-so all you have to do is jump in the van and leave the details to us. 😃
